The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 5th minute of the game. One of Heusy:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of AFC Olne:s goal. The goalkeeper, Charles-Louis Abrams, was totally fooled by AFC Olne's Olivier Verbruggen, who 8 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 13th match minute, AFC Olne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobus Fondria to maneuver through the defense. Heusy's Charles-Louis Abrams proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Heusy from getting a goal against them. Jacobus Fondria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heusy's Maxim Knoops got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Florian Lyens notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Heusy's Charles-Louis Abrams. Charles-Louis Abrams was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Bernard Rondas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heusy's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernard Rondas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frederic Vloebergh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Theo Tombuer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Frederic Vloebergh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yanniek Vleschers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bernard Rondas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charles-Louis Abrams made an important save on a dangerous shot by Florian Lyens in the 38th minute. In the 39th minute, Florian Lyens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC Olne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Nils Boegaert made the kick off in the second half. Nils Boegaert scored 4-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles-Louis Abrams, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 55th minute Yanniek Vleschers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles-Louis Abrams saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Heusy's zone, Florian Lyens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles-Louis Abrams came out of the goal and Florian Lyens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frederic Vloebergh was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Bernard Rondas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Charles-Louis Abrams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nils Boegaert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Heusy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AFC Olne.
