After 24 played minutes Vijverseelen got a freekick which was hit by Rocky De Meyer. Yanis De Clerk took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricky Olemans. Ricky Olemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jan Koerts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of FREETOWN:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vijverseelen:s goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FREETOWN fully deserved thier win.
