Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mitch Rosseels got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, KV Wingene's Bartjan Rombouts got a free kick in the 4th minute. Philipp Le Lion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Gilian Melkval made a huge save. Mitch Rosseels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilian Melkval having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Stefaan Uijterhove hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Tommy Valckeneers came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the KV Wingene fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Valckeneers couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute of the match, Mitch Rosseels tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilian Melkval saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In a very dangerous position, a player in KV Wingene fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, RSC Achene's Yannis Beaufort got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gilian Melkval. Tommy Valckeneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Remie Verduyckt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tommy Valckeneers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KV Wingene's Gilian Melkval proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save KV Wingene from getting a goal against them. Gilian Melkval made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Philipp Le Lion sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Mitch Rosseels's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilian Melkval was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, KV Wingene's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Rosseels came free, but Gilian Melkval reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cederik Jansens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gilian Melkval showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philipp Le Lion, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Cederik Jansens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Remie Verduyckt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cederik Jansens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilian Melkval took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waut Van Herck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KV Wingene's Gilian Melkval played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mitch Rosseels in the 63rd minute of play. KV Wingene's Tommy Valckeneers managed to work through RSC Achene's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Tommy Valckeneers dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Tommy Valckeneers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Remie Verduyckt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to RSC Achene getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tommy Valckeneers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Remie Verduyckt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Harald De Beck charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harald De Beck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86thth minute of the game Mitch Rosseels who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KV Wingene's Gilian Melkval was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tommy Valckeneers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remie Verduyckt having to interfere. Cederik Jansens struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Remie Verduyckt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Wingene. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The RSC Achene fans cheered their team off the field, for while KV Wingene had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
