The crowd rose to their feet as Kaká Junior kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sylvain Wouters. That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Sylvain Wouters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kaká Junior, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Sylvain Wouters made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kaká Junior in the 12th minute. Sylvain Wouters made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Rijmenans in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Mickael de Reyck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Kaká Junior in the 21st play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Sylvain Wouters kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. 24 minutes into the match, KV Obigies's goalkeeper Sylvain Wouters had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Junior. Galin Tanov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sylvain Wouters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, KFC Meulebeke's Kaká Junior dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Sylvain Wouters stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaká Junior's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Sylvain Wouters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Galin Tanov in the 38th minute of the match. Kaká Junior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernd Van den Haute recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerom Sulem stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Jerom Sulem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave De Werdt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martijn Haesevoets took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gustave De Werdt. KFC Meulebeke's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, KFC Meulebeke's Kaká Junior sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sylvain Wouters narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the match, KV Obigies's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Rijmenans came free, but Sylvain Wouters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sylvain Wouters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Rijmenans, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 61 played minutes KV Obigies got a freekick which was hit by Julien Paelinck. KFC Meulebeke's Galin Tanov got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Didier Van Lueven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Didier Van Lueven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Sylvain Wouters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Douglas Van Eyke managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Obigies's supporters rose to their feet, but Douglas Van Eyke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustave De Werdt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sylvain Wouters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didier Van Lueven, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 79th minute, Kaká Junior ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sylvain Wouters was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kaká Junior in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylvain Wouters saved KV Obigies from getting behind. After 86 played minutes KV Obigies got a freekick which was hit by Martijn Haesevoets. KFC Meulebeke's Bernd Van den Haute got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Didier Van Lueven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylvain Wouters having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KFC Meulebeke had played much better football throughout.
