Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lauren Verschelde started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Vivy's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Reuters came free, but Sam Du Molin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauren Verschelde in the 7th minute of play forced AFC Hautrage's goalkeeper Joerie Van Hoeij to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Benny Jenken fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Hautrage's protests and gave Benny Jenken a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Benny Jenken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Klinkenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Joerie Van Hoeij tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Lauren Verschelde left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vivy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Carl Reuters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute, Godfried Breugelmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexander Schepens hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Vivy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Carl Reuters scored to the left of an out of position Sam Du Molin, making the score, 1-1. If Lauren Verschelde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. AFC Hautrage's Joerie Van Hoeij played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Klinkenberg in the 29th minute of play. AFC Hautrage's Boudewijn Gillekens got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute, AFC Hautrage's Carl Reuters dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. Carl Reuters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Du Molin having to interfere. Mattheo Segers's late challenge caught a AFC Hautrage's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mattheo Segers helped the player get up and apologised. 47 minutes into the match, Vivy's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Reuters came free, but Sam Du Molin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the game, Boudewijn Gillekens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AFC Hautrage's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vivy the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, AFC Hautrage was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boudewijn Gillekens to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, one of AFC Hautrage:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for AFC Hautrage. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Vivy. Brecht Stas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Joerie Van Hoeij. 2-2. In the 58th minute, Vivy's Patrick Klinkenberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Joerie Van Hoeij. Joerie Van Hoeij yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. Sam Du Molin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfried Breugelmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Patrick Klinkenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Joerie Van Hoeij tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Carl Reuters hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sam Du Molin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried Breugelmans in the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, AFC Hautrage's Benny Jenken got a free kick in the 84th minute. Lauren Verschelde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joerie Van Hoeij having to interfere. Godfried Breugelmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Du Molin having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Alexander Schepens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vivy's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Schepens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joerie Van Hoeij breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
