Spectators: 7380 (Terracing: 5536, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 147) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Armand Versluys took the kick off in the first half of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Gwenn Frans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gierle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting the free kick. The supporters of Sporting booed when Gierle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gwenn Frans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joop Tuerlinckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolaas Verheecke, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armand Versluys in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joop Tuerlinckx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joop Tuerlinckx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gwenn Frans in the 25th minute of the match. Joop Tuerlinckx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolaas Verheecke, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Isaac Swiggers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Isaac Swiggers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting's supporters rose to their feet, but Isaac Swiggers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel Lauwers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Gierle booed when Sporting was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tim Van De Ven didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Sporting players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gierle were winning 0-1.

After 54 played minutes Gierle got a freekick which was hit by Armand Versluys. Joel Lauwers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Swiggers in the 57th minute of the match. Joop Tuerlinckx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armand Versluys in the 64th minute of play. If Nicolaas Verheecke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolaas Verheecke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joop Tuerlinckx having to interfere. Nicolaas Verheecke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Joop Tuerlinckx made a huge save. Joel Lauwers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isaac Swiggers in the 78th minute of the match. When Nicolaas Verheecke came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Gierle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicolaas Verheecke couldn't finish the play. Armand Versluys struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Joop Tuerlinckx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gierle. The Gierle players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
