Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Joris Severens took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willem Van Houtvin during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Willem Van Houtvin kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, KSV Pittem's goalkeeper Reemy Van den Berghe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philipp Van Gheel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octave Coomans in the 6th minute of play forced KSV Pittem's goalkeeper Reemy Van den Berghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Werner Costermans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reemy Van den Berghe acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 10th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Christof Vercalsteren. Through an outstanding action, after 11 minutes, Reemy Van den Berghe successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Reinard Van Beetz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joris Severens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reemy Van den Berghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octave Coomans, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Reemy Van den Berghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philipp Van Gheel in the 16th minute of play. KSV Pittem's Kurt Grootaers was substituted for Lionel Loremans. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octave Coomans in the 25th minute of play forced KSV Pittem's goalkeeper Reemy Van den Berghe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zachtheide's Reinard Van Beetz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joris Severens in the 27th minute of play. Joris Severens scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reinard Van Beetz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Zachtheide's zone, Marc De Potter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reinard Van Beetz came out of the goal and Marc De Potter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reemy Van den Berghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octave Coomans in the 34th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Marc De Potter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zachtheide's Reinard Van Beetz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joris Severens in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reinard Van Beetz saved Zachtheide from getting behind. Viktor Van den Bossche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Reemy Van den Berghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Octave Coomans was the one to do the kick off. Reemy Van den Berghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octave Coomans in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, KSV Pittem's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Van den Bossche came free, but Reemy Van den Berghe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Joris Severens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc De Potter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinard Van Beetz having to interfere. In the 61st minute, one of Zachtheide:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zachtheide. In the 63rd minute, the referee gave KSV Pittem a penalty. Jorg Cools looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Reinard Van Beetz. When Kristiaan Wegers fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Pittem's protests and gave Kristiaan Wegers a yellow card for diving instead. KSV Pittem's Reemy Van den Berghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Regis Van Beersel in the 69th minute of play. With a little luck, Zachtheide's Reinard Van Beetz got control of the ball when Marc De Potter tried to sneak it across the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, KSV Pittem's goal looked a bit too open when Octave Coomans came free, but Reemy Van den Berghe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octave Coomans scored 2-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Reemy Van den Berghe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marc De Potter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Reinard Van Beetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Kevin Van Goolen took a quick shot and it went in 2-4 without a chance for Reinard Van Beetz to make any attempt to save it. Reemy Van den Berghe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octave Coomans in the 90th minute of play. In the 98th minute, Regis Van Beersel made a precise shot to the right of Reemy Van den Berghe. KSV Pittem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched KSV Pittem eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
