In the 21st minute, Lucien Van Der Meeren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hendrik-Jan De Vreese was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Lucien Van Der Meeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hendrik-Jan De Vreese having to interfere. In the 27th minute of the match Carel Ramps sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hendrik-Jan De Vreese skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Georges Van Den Bosche during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cerfontaine booed when Kaggevinne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georges Van Den Bosche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hendrik-Jan De Vreese took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien Van Der Meeren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Vanden Bussche hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute of the match Pierrot Tuerlinckx sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hendrik-Jan De Vreese skillfully saved the ball. After having played for 43 minutes, Ludwig Helssens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cerfontaine's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ludwig Helssens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jordy Van Calster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jordy Van Calster made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Kaggevinne's Jordy Van Calster nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stein Van der Voert made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lucien Van Der Meeren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cerfontaine getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Dolf Van Den Driessche hit a great ball. In the 67th minute Jordy Van Calster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stein Van der Voert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordy Van Calster in the 70th minute of play forced Cerfontaine's goalkeeper Stein Van der Voert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sylven Van Langhendonck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Van der Voert having to interfere. When Lucien Van Der Meeren fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cerfontaine's protests and gave Lucien Van Der Meeren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 77th match minute, Cerfontaine was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucien Van Der Meeren to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Lucien Van Der Meeren fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Kaggevinne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerfontaine the free kick. The supporters of Cerfontaine booed when Kaggevinne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Vanden Bussche didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cerfontaine were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Kaggevinne to leave the ground with a draw.
