Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Bauwens to make the kick off. Claus Susters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Miguel van Haghten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robby Jans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel van Haghten having to interfere. If Jerom Gijselinghs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. VC Strijpen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
