Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) SK Lowingen's Abraham Loremans started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When the match had been going on for 11 minutes, Poppel's Olliver Van Landschoot got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sylvan Van Achter. Jean Gijselinkx charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jean Gijselinkx the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 minutes Poppel's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lorenzo Hustinx who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Poppel's goalie and right to Gustaaf Van den Berge. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Poppel's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 22nd minute Nick Caes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvan Van Achter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nic De Vriendt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sylvan Van Achter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Struelens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abraham Loremans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th match minute, Poppel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jannis Decaluwe to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Loremans struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Denis Struelens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Lowingen. After having played for 38 minutes, Nic De Vriendt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poppel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nic De Vriendt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 44th minute, Abraham Loremans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Abraham Loremans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Struelens was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Lorenzo Hustinx got his second yellow card in the match during the 61st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 60 minutes into the game, one of SK Lowingen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Poppel a penalty, 63 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Olliver Van Landschoot, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SK Lowingen's Sylvan Van Achter. 2-0. 66 minutes into the match, Harald Van Dongel notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Poppel's Denis Struelens. Denis Struelens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 71st minute, Harald Van Dongel made a precise shot to the right of Denis Struelens. Poppel's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. If Harald Van Dongel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Caes in the 82nd minute of play forced SK Lowingen's goalkeeper Sylvan Van Achter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nic De Vriendt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nick Caes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Sylvan Van Achter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Struelens made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Harald Van Dongel sent off a good shot on target. Franky Fossaert hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
