Spectators: 7513 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yens Deman got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Armoede's Jose Eekhout sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stanny Van der Voert narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 8th minute, Yens Deman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yens Deman in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacob Sterkx prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 14th minute Mats Van der Weijden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacob Sterkx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacob Sterkx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yens Deman in the 15th minute of play. Yens Deman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 16thth minute, Jacob Sterkx skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 17 played minutes Armoede got a freekick which was hit by Octave Hofnagels. Mats Van der Weijden scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacob Sterkx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Coba de Gymnasia booed when Armoede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans De Roover didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacques Van Den Eynden, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Ruud Andries fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coba de Gymnasia's protests and gave Ruud Andries a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Armoede booed when Coba de Gymnasia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruud Andries didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Kjetil Vikan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacob Sterkx skillfully saved the ball. Yens Deman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacob Sterkx having to interfere. Jacob Sterkx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yens Deman in the 39th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Arnauld Maerschalcx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Armoede's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coba de Gymnasia the free kick. Arnauld Maerschalcx hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Arnauld Maerschalcx made the kick off in the second half. Coba de Gymnasia's Yens Deman got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnauld Maerschalcx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 57 played minutes Armoede got a freekick which was hit by Arnauld Maerschalcx. Jose Eekhout was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Armoede's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 62nd minute of the game. One of Armoede:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Coba de Gymnasia:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Armoede's zone, Yens Deman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacob Sterkx came out of the goal and Yens Deman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute of the match Kjetil Vikan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacob Sterkx skillfully saved the ball. Marnix van der Eycken charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marnix van der Eycken the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 73rd match minute, Coba de Gymnasia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marnix van der Eycken to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Jose Eekhout could shoot a difficult shot in the 76th minute, which Stanny Van der Voert however easily saved by the left post. Mats Van der Weijden might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacob Sterkx. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Van der Weijden ran back to his position shaking his head. Jacob Sterkx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yens Deman, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Mats Van der Weijden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacob Sterkx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yens Deman's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. If Mats Van der Weijden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yens Deman struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Jacob Sterkx didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coba de Gymnasia. After a rather tough play, Coba de Gymnasia's Jerom Van Looy got a free kick in the 87th minute. Arnauld Maerschalcx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Eekhout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Stanny Van der Voert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Eekhout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
