Geert Van De Ven kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Artuur Smets hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. AFC Merxplas's Herald Zimmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gill Van Hole in the 8th minute of play. Geert Van De Ven charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geert Van De Ven the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Geert Van De Ven kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After 10 minutes, Jullian van Eycken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Merxplas and the Racing Belboys players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 10 played minutes AFC Merxplas got a freekick which was hit by Jullian van Eycken. Artuur Smets could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Jelle Raymaekers made a huge save. 25 minutes into the match, Racing Belboys's Gill Van Hole sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herald Zimmer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeremie Simons received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Herald Zimmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Racing Belboys's Jelle Raymaekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Racing Belboys from getting a goal against them. With his leg Jelle Raymaekers managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when AFC Merxplas's Pierre-Alexandre Machiels fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Merxplas's zone, Gill Van Hole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herald Zimmer came out of the goal and Gill Van Hole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herald Zimmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sem De Middeleer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gill Van Hole struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Herald Zimmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Belboys.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jullian van Eycken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Herald Zimmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gill Van Hole, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Racing Belboys's Jerom Martens got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gill Van Hole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Meijers's late challenge caught a Racing Belboys's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Victor Meijers helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to AFC Merxplas getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Victor Meijers hit a great ball. Racing Belboys's Michael Schuts couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AFC Merxplas. Bertrand Degraef struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Herald Zimmer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Belboys. Stanny Pardaens hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Gill Van Hole managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Racing Belboys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gill Van Hole was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geert Van De Ven kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Gill Van Hole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute Gill Van Hole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herald Zimmer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artuur Smets in the 75th minute of play forced Racing Belboys's goalkeeper Jelle Raymaekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Artuur Smets in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jelle Raymaekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 91 minutes of play, Racing Belboys's Sem De Middeleer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herald Zimmer was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Racing Belboys getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Tibaut Oelaerts hit a great ball. Racing Belboys's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
