Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Loui Mathy kicked off to start the match. After 2 minutes, Marnix Le Page mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Steenbrugge and the SK Zullik players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, KFC Steenbrugge's Marnix Le Page got a free kick in the 2nd minute. SK Zullik's Ronald De Muijser suffered a sore thigh after 7 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 7th minute, one of KFC Steenbrugge:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KFC Steenbrugge. Brain Kockaerts went to the wrong direction when Kristof Jenken was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Loui Mathy's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Erik De Bruyn skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Xander Huyberechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik De Bruyn having to interfere. Constant Smoors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constant Smoors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Brain Kockaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constant Smoors recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik De Bruyn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loui Mathy, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 33rd minute, Frederik Staes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frederik Staes in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Brain Kockaerts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nic Bruyneel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Brain Kockaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of KFC Steenbrugge booed when SK Zullik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xander Liebrechts didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik De Bruyn made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Xander Huyberechts sent off a good shot on target. If Constant Smoors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Constant Smoors made the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of SK Zullik:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KFC Steenbrugge:s goal. Andries Poets shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Loui Mathy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Erik De Bruyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Constant Smoors could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Brain Kockaerts made a huge save. KFC Steenbrugge's Brain Kockaerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xander Liebrechts in the 61st minute of play. When SK Zullik's Nic Bruyneel in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Steenbrugge's goalie prevented a goal. Constant Smoors sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Constant Smoors received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Brain Kockaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SK Zullik's Thobias Castermans got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Constant Smoors blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brain Kockaerts having to make a save. Xander Liebrechts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xander Liebrechts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brain Kockaerts having to interfere. If Constant Smoors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, KFC Steenbrugge's Brain Kockaerts got control of the ball when Constant Smoors tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brain Kockaerts made a fantastic save in the 99th minute, when Constant Smoors sent off a good shot on target. Many of SK Zullik's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. SK Zullik may have spent more time on the ball, but KFC Steenbrugge were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
