Alfonsas Baltutis charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonsas Baltutis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bruno Van Herendael made a kick off. Erik de Wolf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bill Van Dongel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Werner Vollens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lou Lambrecht. Strijtem City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Werner Vollens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Erik de Wolf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Van Herendael, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Ohey's Erik de Wolf proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Ohey from getting a goal against them.
