Loid Meulders made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Loid Meulders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vic Jennes in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Joos Berckmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loid Meulders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stan Uytebroeck kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 44 minutes into the game, Vic Jennes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Loid Meulders was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vic Jennes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manuel Manny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jason Van Castel having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Joost De Raeijmaecker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jason Van Castel was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. VC Winksele were furious when Bastiaan Van Der Veecken was red carded, 64 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
