Danny Bormans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Pierre-Paul Degraef sped through KV Kachtem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andreas Hairpoel. After a rather tough play, KV Kachtem's Vic De Beer got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Pierre-Paul Degraef's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andreas Hairpoel was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
