A collision led to Lasne getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Richy Hauwaerts hit a great ball. Manuel Verhofstadt's late challenge caught a Lasne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Verhofstadt helped the player get up and apologised. Yanniek Tubbackx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Wannes Uytebroeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes SK Wisterzee got a freekick which was hit by Mario Huyberechts. Phillipe Provoost showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carel Verdonckt, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Pieter-Maarten De Fever struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Phillipe Provoost didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Wisterzee. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Carel Verdonckt managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Wisterzee's supporters rose to their feet, but Carel Verdonckt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillipe Provoost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richy Hauwaerts hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Yanniek Tubbackx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wannes Uytebroeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Carel Verdonckt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Pieter-Maarten De Fever managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Wisterzee's supporters rose to their feet, but Pieter-Maarten De Fever was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phillipe Provoost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Lasne's Joey Swinnen got a free kick in the 46th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Lasne's Phillipe Provoost proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Lasne from getting a goal against them. If Richy Hauwaerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SK Wisterzee's zone, Cornelis Thielemans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wannes Uytebroeck came out of the goal and Cornelis Thielemans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cornelis Thielemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Wannes Uytebroeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yanniek Tubbackx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wannes Uytebroeck having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Lasne's goalkeeper Phillipe Provoost had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pieter-Maarten De Fever. 68 minutes into the game, Carel Verdonckt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Phillipe Provoost. Carel Verdonckt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. If Yanniek Tubbackx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Pieter-Maarten De Fever left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SK Wisterzee fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
