Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) FC Barracuda's Remi Laeremans started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Remi Laeremans managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barracuda's supporters rose to their feet, but Remi Laeremans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Maerschalck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Patrik Van Mellaert came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Trognee fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrik Van Mellaert couldn't finish the play. Xander Robijns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Van Mellaert in the 11th minute. After 14 minutes, Brent-Jan Rutten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trognee and the FC Barracuda players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Trognee was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brent-Jan Rutten to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute of the match Rik Verhaert sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felix Maerschalck skillfully saved the ball. When FC Barracuda's Basiel Vanhaeren in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trognee's goalie prevented a goal. Basiel Vanhaeren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Maerschalck having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Trognee got a freekick which was hit by Brent-Jan Rutten. After a defensive mix-up in Trognee's zone, Remi Laeremans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felix Maerschalck came out of the goal and Remi Laeremans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Remi Laeremans scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Felix Maerschalck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Basiel Vanhaeren took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Maerschalck. Felix Maerschalck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Remi Laeremans's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Felix Maerschalck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Patrik Van Mellaert struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Xander Robijns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Trognee. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Johannes Imbreghts made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Trognee's goalkeeper Felix Maerschalck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Van Dessen. Brent-Jan Rutten kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Rens Hermans kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrik Van Mellaert in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xander Robijns saved FC Barracuda from getting behind. Xander Robijns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrik Van Mellaert went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. FC Barracuda's Xander Robijns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Van Mellaert in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Trognee's goal looked a bit too open when Remi Laeremans came free, but Felix Maerschalck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remi Laeremans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Felix Maerschalck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remi Laeremans blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Maerschalck having to make a save. Rocky Rummens hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Basiel Vanhaeren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Barracuda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basiel Vanhaeren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remi Laeremans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
