But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dan Willems couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in SK Snikberg's zone, Edmond Armentier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ben Leclerq came out of the goal and Edmond Armentier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, SK Snikberg's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Armentier came free, but Ben Leclerq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Pierre-Olivier Laremans dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ben Leclerq, 1-0. 31 minutes into the match, SK Snikberg's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Armentier came free, but Ben Leclerq reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The wind increased when Edmond Armentier made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Staf Kersselaers during the 54th minute. Kristof Aerts's late challenge caught a De snollies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
