Spectators: 6709 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 0) Maxim-Alexander Berchmans started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Zwijnaarde's zone, Bill Vereeken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geert Sevenans came out of the goal and Bill Vereeken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 6 played minutes KAA Zwijnaarde got a freekick which was hit by Gerard Rombouts. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Beyne-Heusay's goalkeeper Kenney Hoeybroeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 9th match minute, KFC Beyne-Heusay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Van Aertvin to maneuver through the defense. Kenney Hoeybroeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxim-Alexander Berchmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Gerard Rombouts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Charles-Antoine Van De Gehuchte hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 18th match minute, KFC Beyne-Heusay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Izak Cesters to maneuver through the defense. If Bill Vereeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Wesly Schoutens could shoot a difficult shot in the 25th minute, which Kenney Hoeybroeck however easily saved by the left post. In the 28th minute, Timy Verduijn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geert Sevenans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wart Engelberchs's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Geert Sevenans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wart Engelberchs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bill Vereeken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The KAA Zwijnaarde players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KFC Beyne-Heusay were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wart Engelberchs was the one to do the kick off. KFC Beyne-Heusay's Bill Vereeken got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Timy Verduijn hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Kenney Hoeybroeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesly Schoutens in the 58th minute of the match. KAA Zwijnaarde's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Charles-Antoine Van De Gehuchte in the 62nd minute. Wart Engelberchs was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Geert Sevenans was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Erik Van Gysel. In the 73rd match minute, KFC Beyne-Heusay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Van Aertvin to maneuver through the defense. Kenney Hoeybroeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim-Alexander Berchmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Bill Vereeken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wesly Schoutens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The KFC Beyne-Heusay players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
