Robert Van Der Eyde started the match with the kick off. In the 20th match minute, RC Asse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ksawery Kazczyk to maneuver through the defense. Filip Pietrowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. KFC Herdersem's Filip Pietrowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ewout Schautens in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, KFC Herdersem's Robert Van Der Eyde dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Fredrik Vanden Bussche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Van Der Eyde in the 46th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matias Ostots to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, RC Asse's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Van Der Eyde came free, but Fredrik Vanden Bussche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of RC Asse booed when KFC Herdersem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Van Der Eyde didn't get a good kick on the ball. RC Asse's Fredrik Vanden Bussche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Van Der Eyde in the 64th minute of play. Rudy Boede hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the game, Dries Cantillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Herdersem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RC Asse the free kick. In the 78th minute, Hugo Le Page hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Robert Van Der Eyde notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of RC Asse's Fredrik Vanden Bussche. Fredrik Vanden Bussche was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Robert Van Der Eyde came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the KFC Herdersem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robert Van Der Eyde couldn't finish the play.
