After 9 minutes, Jeff Schepmans mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RSC Doische and the Evere players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes RSC Doische got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Schepmans. Alexander Peeters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Steven Van Eijken having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexander Peeters in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steven Van Eijken saved RSC Doische from getting behind. Frederik Leenders's late challenge caught a Evere's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederik Leenders helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute, Frederik Leenders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antoine Ingelbert, 21 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Phillipe Van Hespen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jakob Schoutens made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Evere's zone, Tommas Huijgens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jakob Schoutens came out of the goal and Tommas Huijgens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jorne Creemers in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steven Van Eijken saved RSC Doische from getting behind. Tommas Huijgens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jakob Schoutens having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Evere's goalkeeper Jakob Schoutens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Phillipe Van Hespen. Evere's Jakob Schoutens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommas Huijgens in the 40th minute of play. Steven Van Eijken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Peeters in the 43rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antoine Ingelbert during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 46 minutes, RSC Doische's Gwenn Uijterhoeven got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jakob Schoutens. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tommas Huijgens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Evere's goal looked a bit too open when Phillipe Van Hespen came free, but Jakob Schoutens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phillipe Van Hespen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jorne Creemers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Steven Van Eijken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jakob Schoutens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phillipe Van Hespen, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the game, Arnout Van Cauwenberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Evere's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RSC Doische the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Evere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnout Van Cauwenberg to maneuver through the defense. Jakob Schoutens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommas Huijgens in the 87th minute of the match. Arnout Van Cauwenberg was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Evere's Arnout Van Cauwenberg got a free kick in the 88th minute. Evere's Alexander Peeters got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. RSC Doische's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
