After 4 played minutes Tolhoek got a freekick which was hit by Bertan Valckx. Oxelaer's Bruno Roofhoof got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 11th minute, Harrie De Ruyter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Oxelaer getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Joannes Van Lancker hit a great ball. Alain De Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Engelbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes into the game, Jeffery Van Den Eynden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oxelaer's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tolhoek the free kick. After a rather tough play, Oxelaer's Jeffery Van Den Eynden got a free kick in the 15th minute. Alain De Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brend Coppens, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Marc Stuyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bertan Valckx hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Bruno Roofhoof managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oxelaer's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Roofhoof was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waut Bellinkx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Stuyck got free with Waut Bellinkx in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Marc Stuyck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 29 minutes, Brend Coppens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tolhoek's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brend Coppens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Jeffery Van Den Eynden was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 31 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Oxelaer's Jeffery Van Den Eynden got a free kick in the 31st minute. Marc Stuyck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waut Bellinkx having to interfere. Harrie Braeckman took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alain De Meyer. Oxelaer's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leon Engelbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Alain De Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brend Coppens to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Leon Engelbert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Waut Bellinkx stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Stuyck's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. If Bruno Roofhoof had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Stuyck in the 76th minute of play forced Tolhoek's goalkeeper Waut Bellinkx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brend Coppens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Alain De Meyer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Bruno Roofhoof got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Stuyck in the 86th minute of play forced Tolhoek's goalkeeper Waut Bellinkx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oxelaer's Alain De Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Oxelaer from getting a goal against them. When Bruno Roofhoof fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oxelaer's protests and gave Bruno Roofhoof a yellow card for diving instead. Bruno Roofhoof hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Brend Coppens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Tolhoek had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
