Jeremie Massenhove started the match with the kick off. In the 6th match minute, Harry Potter FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Basiel Meynen to maneuver through the defense. Danny Van Hove was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vince Wijnants. When Charles-Antoine Jannis came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Donkerput fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles-Antoine Jannis couldn't finish the play. Guido Bastiaens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Danny Van Hove made a huge save. Guido Bastiaens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kenneth Melkval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim-Jan Van den Broeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Melkval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Harry Potter FC's Danny Van Hove got control of the ball when Guido Bastiaens tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Bastiaens got free with Danny Van Hove in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th minute, Basiel Meynen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner ended in Vince Wijnants almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Harry Potter FC's Danny Van Hove did a great save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles-Antoine Jannis to make the kick off. Jeremie Massenhove struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Tim-Jan Van den Broeck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Harry Potter FC. Tim-Jan Van den Broeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremie Massenhove, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A collision led to Harry Potter FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Philippe Poets hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Donkerput's Charles-Antoine Jannis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danny Van Hove narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 64thth minute of the game Jeremie Massenhove who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Donkerput's Tim-Jan Van den Broeck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Jeremie Massenhove came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Harry Potter FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeremie Massenhove couldn't finish the play. Harry Potter FC's Jeremie Massenhove got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Harry Potter FC's Danny Van Hove played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles-Antoine Jannis in the 77th minute of play. Jeremie Massenhove received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tim-Jan Van den Broeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harry Potter FC's Kenneth Melkval got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kenneth Melkval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donkerput's Vince Wijnants suffered a sore thigh after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Kenneth Melkval's late challenge caught a Donkerput's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenneth Melkval helped the player get up and apologised. For all the effort they put into the match, the Harry Potter FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Donkerput.
