Geordy Callens was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 8 minutes, Sergio Van der Veeken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Mighty Penguins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergio Van der Veeken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sergio Van der Veeken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Thomas Gyselinckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, KAA Maurage's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Van der Veeken came free, but Geordy Callens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Giovanni Van Cauwenberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Mighty Penguins fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Bruno Kerselaers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Lorenz Van De Look when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Sergio Van der Veeken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geordy Callens having to make a save. If Koen Cuejvers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes The Mighty Penguins got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Helsens. Geordy Callens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Verhoeven in the 42nd minute of the match. If Sergio Van der Veeken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The KAA Maurage players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Mighty Penguins were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Sergio Van der Veeken made the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes The Mighty Penguins got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Helsens. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind KAA Maurage's goalkeeper Geordy Callens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute, The Mighty Penguins's Sergio Van der Veeken ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Geordy Callens. Geordy Callens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. 64 minutes into the match, The Mighty Penguins's Sergio Van der Veeken sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geordy Callens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geordy Callens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Van der Veeken in the 66th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sergio Van der Veeken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Geordy Callens was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. If Koen Cuejvers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th minute, Sergio Van der Veeken fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Geordy Callens, passed just outside the right post. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind KAA Maurage's goalkeeper Geordy Callens, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geordy Callens was a little too slow when Sergio Van der Veeken got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-4. When the final whistle sounded The Mighty Penguins left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than KAA Maurage.
