Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Simon Ceulemans took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Robbrecht Rymenans fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Purnode's protests and gave Robbrecht Rymenans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, KSV Purnode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbrecht Rymenans to maneuver through the defense. After 11th play minutes Martin Schoenmakers shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Alan Schol and just under the crossbar into goal. Alan Schol stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Youri Sannen's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After 17 minutes, Godfried Van Lint mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KSV Purnode and the Blue Squad AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Godfried Van Lint hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Martin Schoenmakers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Blue Squad AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Schoenmakers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alan Schol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Schoenmakers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Koppen got free with Octavian Elsen in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matias Snieders took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Octavian Elsen. Blue Squad AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind KSV Purnode's goalkeeper Alan Schol, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 36th minute, Jeremie Koninkx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KSV Purnode's Alan Schol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Schoenmakers in the 38th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, Blue Squad AFC's Martin Schoenmakers made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alan Schol was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Schoenmakers in the 47th minute of play forced KSV Purnode's goalkeeper Alan Schol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Martin Schoenmakers made the kick off in the second half. Pino Vanneste could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Alan Schol made a huge save. Alan Schol didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 56th minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. If Pino Vanneste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, KSV Purnode was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfried Van Lint to maneuver through the defense. Youri Sannen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KSV Purnode's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Martin Schoenmakers scored to the left of an out of position Alan Schol, making the score, 0-4. Ben Humbelets charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ben Humbelets the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Blue Squad AFC booed when KSV Purnode was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Humbelets didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, KSV Purnode's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Schoenmakers came free, but Alan Schol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan Schol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pino Vanneste in the 82nd minute. Simon Ceulemans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Simon Ceulemans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Elsen was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. In the 88th match minute, Blue Squad AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremie Koninkx to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pino Vanneste got free with Alan Schol in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute Martin Schoenmakers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Schol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Blue Squad AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Pinho to maneuver through the defense. Octavian Elsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Koppen in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Blue Squad AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than KSV Purnode.
