The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasper Sterckmans got free with Octavian Van Hoovelt in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elpidio Toribio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andries Vleminx was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Louis Grootaers in the 26th minute of play forced Red Bull Predators's goalkeeper Sabin Zdrelea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Red Bull Predators fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Red Bull Predators's Elpidio Toribio looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elpidio Toribio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Van Hoovelt having to interfere. In the 41stth minute of the game Elpidio Toribio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anderlecht TH's Octavian Van Hoovelt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sabin Zdrelea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gillis Maeijnaerts in the 43rd minute of the match. Octavian Van Hoovelt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Toribio, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Romain Van Meerbeec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Elpidio Toribio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Octavian Van Hoovelt was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game.
