Sean Weba kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Miguel Verstappen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terry Van Achten in the 10th minute of play. Jerom Vinck's late challenge caught a Kortessem United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerom Vinck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, AFC Danegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerom Vinck to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes AFC Danegem got a freekick which was hit by Olliver Engelborgh. In the 20th minute, Alphonse Van Eijken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gino van Bedts was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When AFC Danegem's Terry Van Achten in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kortessem United's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, AFC Danegem's Gino van Bedts got control of the ball when Alphonse Van Eijken tried to sneak it across the goal line. AFC Danegem's Gino van Bedts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Danegem from getting a goal against them. Miguel Verstappen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casper Decock in the 40th minute of the match. If Casper Decock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tibaut Struijf made a kick off. Miguel Verstappen was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Henri-Patrick Vanden Driessche. In the 55th minute, Ken Rokeloos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC Danegem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Miguel Verstappen came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Danegem's Casper Decock. But to his dismay, Casper Decock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Kortessem United's Miguel Verstappen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry Van Achten in the 66th minute of play. If Casper Decock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Kortessem United's goalkeeper Miguel Verstappen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casper Decock. A collision led to AFC Danegem getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Yvan Waterloos hit a great ball. When Kortessem United's Mats Van Beets in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Danegem's goalie prevented a goal. Tibaut Struijf scored 3-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gino van Bedts, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the match, Kortessem United's goalkeeper Miguel Verstappen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casper Decock. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terry Van Achten in the 85th minute of play forced Kortessem United's goalkeeper Miguel Verstappen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ken Rokeloos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Verstappen having to interfere. AFC Danegem's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
