In the 46th minute Harald Van de Putt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Van Vyve saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Dries Van den Bossche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Antoine Poets. Herstal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dries Van den Bossche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The KSV Nandrin players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Herstal were winning 1-2.

David Van Vyve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luka Vos in the 55th minute of play. If Dries Van den Bossche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luka Vos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Van Vyve read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. In the 66th minute, Luka Vos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of David Van Vyve, passed just outside the right post. In the 69th minute, Rolf Borglevens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luka Vos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. David Van Vyve tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bastian Van Geel fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KSV Nandrin's protests and gave Bastian Van Geel a yellow card for diving instead. Bastian Van Geel kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th match minute, Herstal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Vos to maneuver through the defense. Antoine Poets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remy Schoolmeesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After 93 minutes of play KSV Nandrin's Bastian Van Geel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 97 played minutes KSV Nandrin got a freekick which was hit by Tristan Louis.
