Spectators: 7432 (Terracing: 5575, Seating: 1709, VIP seats: 148) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lukasz Czech made the kick off which started today's match. Fred Van Deijck kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by KAA Assesse's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kenn Van Goethem was slow to take the kick. During this time Elixir's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Elixir's corner Aime Van Engelen fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jens vrolijx quite easily take care of the ball. Benjamin Stuckens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stanny De Munck in the 19th minute of the match. After 21 minutes of play, KAA Assesse's Glen Depelsmaker made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Stuckens was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the KAA Assesse defense, Jan-Simon Van Cleijnenbreugel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens vrolijx. The KAA Assesse fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens vrolijx should have stopped the shot. Isidoor Van Hermenghem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Jens vrolijx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aime Van Engelen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Jens vrolijx made a huge save. Piet Caspers hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Stanny De Munck to strike the kick off in the second half. Jens vrolijx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Czech in the 60th minute of play. 61 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Elixir's Aime Van Engelen fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Glen Depelsmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lukasz Czech took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jens vrolijx. Jens vrolijx dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. KAA Assesse's Jens vrolijx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aime Van Engelen in the 72nd minute of play. After 76 played minutes KAA Assesse got a freekick which was hit by Marten Van Cleijnenbruegel. Jens vrolijx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aime Van Engelen, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Lukasz Czech's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jens vrolijx read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. KAA Assesse's Jens vrolijx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukasz Czech in the 83rd minute of play. Aime Van Engelen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens vrolijx having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Piet Caspers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KAA Assesse's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elixir the free kick. In the 86th minute, one of KAA Assesse:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KAA Assesse. Lukasz Czech blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jens vrolijx having to make a save. When the referee ended the match the Elixir players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
