Isidoor Van Hermenghem charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidoor Van Hermenghem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Elixir getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Isidoor Van Hermenghem hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in KT Underground's zone, Lukasz Czech stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Axel Van Der Taelen came out of the goal and Lukasz Czech tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Axel Van Der Taelen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukasz Czech, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute of the match Elixir got a corner. KT Underground's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Kenn Van Goethem ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Kenn Van Goethem almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but KT Underground's Axel Van Der Taelen did a great save. A collision led to KT Underground getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Oswald De Vleeschauwer hit a great ball. Elixir's Aime Van Engelen got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lukasz Czech might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Axel Van Der Taelen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elixir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lukasz Czech was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, KT Underground's Oswald De Vleeschauwer got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Aime Van Engelen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lukasz Czech sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Lukasz Czech had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Aime Van Engelen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Elixir's goal looked a bit too open when Gertjan Goris came free, but Benjamin Stuckens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KT Underground's Axel Van Der Taelen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukasz Czech in the 93rd minute of play. There was no doubt that Elixir were the better team. Elixir's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
