A collision led to KVSK Baandries getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Michel Dewulf hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, KoSmoS's Brent Baele broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sylvain Colebinders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dominic Windelinckx in the 15th minute of the match. Francis van Eycken struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Sylvain Colebinders didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KVSK Baandries. Dominic Windelinckx hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. KVSK Baandries's Jacque Verhaeghen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save KVSK Baandries from getting a goal against them. After 33 played minutes KoSmoS got a freekick which was hit by Niels Nilis. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brent Baele in the 37th minute of play forced KVSK Baandries's goalkeeper Jacque Verhaeghen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gertjan Pelsers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KoSmoS's Brent Baele got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Jacque Verhaeghen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gertjan Pelsers, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. KoSmoS's Sylvain Colebinders played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Windelinckx in the 61st minute of play. Billie Van De Wijngaert charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Billie Van De Wijngaert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Billie Van De Wijngaert hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Gertjan Pelsers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacque Verhaeghen was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in KVSK Baandries's zone, Gertjan Pelsers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacque Verhaeghen was left in no man's land by his defense there! There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. KoSmoS fully deserved thier win.
