Robbe Roockeloes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pascal Stroobant might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sylvain Colebinders. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pascal Stroobant ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 11th minute Tobias De Middeleer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvain Colebinders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brent Baele shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Sylvain Colebinders was a little too slow when Fre Verheije got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-2. Robbe Roockeloes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gertjan Pelsers in the 23rd minute of play. In the 26th match minute, KoSmoS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steffen Van Impe to maneuver through the defense. Willy Walder hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. KoSmoS's Sylvain Colebinders proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save KoSmoS from getting a goal against them. Pascal Stroobant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascal Stroobant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th match minute, KV Vleteren was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Stroobant to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pascal Stroobant stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Gertjan Pelsers managed to get in a good position for a shot. KoSmoS's supporters rose to their feet, but Gertjan Pelsers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robbe Roockeloes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Pascal Stroobant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sylvain Colebinders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Stroobant in the 59th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, KoSmoS's Billie Van De Wijngaert got a free kick in the 62nd minute. The supporters of KoSmoS booed when KV Vleteren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Winnepenninck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Fre Verheije managed to get in a good position for a shot. KV Vleteren's supporters rose to their feet, but Fre Verheije was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylvain Colebinders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fre Verheije received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sylvain Colebinders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute Pascal Stroobant shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvain Colebinders saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gertjan Pelsers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Robbe Roockeloes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Willy Walder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbe Roockeloes having to interfere. Gertjan Pelsers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Robbe Roockeloes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sylvain Colebinders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascal Stroobant in the 87th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, KoSmoS's goal looked a bit too open when Pascal Stroobant came free, but Sylvain Colebinders reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Pascal Stroobant had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sylvain Colebinders. KoSmoS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pascal Stroobant was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 94 minutes, Fre Verheije mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KV Vleteren and the KoSmoS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 94 played minutes KV Vleteren got a freekick which was hit by Fre Verheije. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
