After some careless play in the AFC Zemst defense, Gwen Van Brusselen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erwin Jooris. The AFC Zemst fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erwin Jooris should have stopped the shot. Yelle Imbreghts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter-Jan Keuppens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Van Herendael charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Van Herendael the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Daniel Van Herendael hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, LYNX's goal looked a bit too open when Peter-Jan Keuppens came free, but Yelle Imbreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wouter Van Steen struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Erwin Jooris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LYNX. Gwen Van Brusselen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erwin Jooris read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Daniel Van Herendael got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 32nd minute Peter-Jan Keuppens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yelle Imbreghts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Daniel Van Herendael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AFC Zemst's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Van Herendael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wouter Van Steen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wouter Van Steen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gustaaf Raniers during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 49 minutes, AFC Zemst's Gert-Jan Van Geele got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Yelle Imbreghts.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Peter-Jan Keuppens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erwin Jooris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wouter Van Steen in the 55th minute. Wouter Van Steen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wouter Van Steen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dyllen de Pelsmaeker hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Yelle Imbreghts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter-Jan Keuppens, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Gwen Van Brusselen managed to get in a good position for a shot. LYNX's supporters rose to their feet, but Gwen Van Brusselen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erwin Jooris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gwen Van Brusselen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erwin Jooris having to interfere. Gwen Van Brusselen struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Erwin Jooris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LYNX.
