The audience was convinced that Luka Engelboorgs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yelle Imbreghts was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. After 6 played minutes Gwen Van Brusselen rounded Libramont-Chevigny's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. LYNX's Yelle Imbreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camiel van Elderen in the 11th minute of play. Yelle Imbreghts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camiel van Elderen in the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in LYNX's zone, Camiel van Elderen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yelle Imbreghts came out of the goal and Camiel van Elderen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yelle Imbreghts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Camiel van Elderen's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Jeffery Huygens hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th play minute Wouter Van Steen came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benedict Verelst. 2-0. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind LYNX's goalkeeper Yelle Imbreghts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, LYNX was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Vereyt to maneuver through the defense. LYNX's Wouter Van Steen got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yelle Imbreghts didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Libramont-Chevigny's Camiel van Elderen shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 43rd minute, Waud Colebinders hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremy Smidts was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 46th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

A collision led to LYNX getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Reinaert Dauwe hit a great ball. Luka Engelboorgs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yelle Imbreghts having to interfere. Camiel van Elderen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Libramont-Chevigny players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for LYNX.
