Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 50) FC Armadillos's Marcus Sellekaers started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcus Sellekaers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jordi Maenhout having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in FC Armadillos's zone, Laurenz Coenens stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannis De Kock came out of the goal and Laurenz Coenens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th minute, Philip Van Campenhout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jannis De Kock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laurenz Coenens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcus Sellekaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Maenhout having to interfere. Marcus Sellekaers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Van Campenhout recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Kurt Jespers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to FC Armadillos getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Tom Coppens hit a great ball. Laurenz Coenens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jannis De Kock having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Laurenz Coenens to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcus Sellekaers might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jordi Maenhout. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcus Sellekaers ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Armadillos's goalkeeper Jannis De Kock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Laurenz Coenens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannis De Kock having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Marcus Sellekaers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jordi Maenhout was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Laurenz Coenens took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Jannis De Kock to make any attempt to save it. Jordi Maenhout was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 91 minutes into the match, FC Armadillos's goal looked a bit too open when Laurenz Coenens came free, but Jannis De Kock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcus Sellekaers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Maenhout having to interfere.
