With a little luck, FC Pouri's Ernest Teunens got control of the ball when Guust Van Eyke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Max Pelsmaeker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Teunens having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guust Van Eyke got free with Ernest Teunens in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Jorne De Backer managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Nismes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorne De Backer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernest Teunens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Pouri's Ernest Teunens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorne De Backer in the 29th minute of play. Guust Van Eyke in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernest Teunens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ernest Teunens stood somewhat misplaced when Guust Van Eyke came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 33 minute. After 37 minutes, Erik Van Haeght mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Pouri and the KAA Nismes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 42 minutes, Guust Van Eyke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KAA Nismes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guust Van Eyke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, KAA Nismes's Jorne De Backer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ernest Teunens. Ernest Teunens yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 6-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luka Vrijdags made a kick off. In the 54th minute Guust Van Eyke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Teunens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luka Vrijdags received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ricky Wyns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 59 minutes into the game, Guust Van Eyke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Ernest Teunens was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joerie Van de Velde kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Guust Van Eyke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ernest Teunens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guust Van Eyke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Guust Van Eyke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernest Teunens was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Ernest Teunens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorne De Backer in the 69th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Max Pelsmaeker notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of FC Pouri's Ernest Teunens. Ernest Teunens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of KAA Nismes booed when FC Pouri was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jannic Kerkhofs didn't get a good kick on the ball. KAA Nismes's Guust Van Eyke got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The KAA Nismes fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when KAA Nismes's Guust Van Eyke looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 10-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ernest Teunens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guust Van Eyke's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Jorne De Backer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ernest Teunens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Guust Van Eyke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. KAA Nismes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
