Spectators: 7587 (Terracing: 5691, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 151) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Laurenz Coenens made the kick off which started today's match. Jordi Maenhout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ief De Scheper in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Laurenz Coenens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Sint-Truiden's Lennart Verengen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebbe Van Linthoudt in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jordi Maenhout prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to DFC United Colors getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Robrecht De Cerpel hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, FC Sint-Truiden's Raymond Van De Wyngaert tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Ief De Scheper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ief De Scheper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Maenhout having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, DFC United Colors's goal looked a bit too open when Ief De Scheper came free, but Jordi Maenhout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ief De Scheper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, DFC United Colors's Jan-Simon De Koster got a free kick in the 25th minute. Jordi Maenhout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ief De Scheper, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 32 played minutes DFC United Colors got a freekick which was hit by Adolphe Wuets. FC Sint-Truiden's Ief De Scheper got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sebbe Van Linthoudt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jordi Maenhout stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebbe Van Linthoudt's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Ief De Scheper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jordi Maenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebbe Van Linthoudt was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Sebbe Van Linthoudt sped through DFC United Colors's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jordi Maenhout. Jordi Maenhout was out of position in the 56 minute of play, and Ief De Scheper capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ief De Scheper really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ief De Scheper in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jordi Maenhout saved DFC United Colors from getting behind. Sebbe Van Linthoudt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jordi Maenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Ief De Scheper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ief De Scheper took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jordi Maenhout. Jordi Maenhout dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Sebbe Van Linthoudt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jordi Maenhout having to make a save. Sebbe Van Linthoudt had several of the DFC United Colors's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 86 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Jordi Maenhout as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ief De Scheper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Jordi Maenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes DFC United Colors got a freekick which was hit by Corneel Winnepenninck. Jordi Maenhout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebbe Van Linthoudt, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute, Ief De Scheper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jordi Maenhout was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. When the final whistle sounded FC Sint-Truiden left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DFC United Colors.
