Fredrik Limpens was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Laurenz Coenens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. In the 38th minute, Adolphe Wuets ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredrik Limpens was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 43 minutes, Lou De Keijsere managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.V.Aartselaar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lou De Keijsere was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Christopher Van Meerbeek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Laurenz Coenens made the kick off in the second half. Kurt Jespers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fredrik Limpens having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Christopher Van Meerbeek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The S.V.Aartselaar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. DFC United Colors walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
