An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Jespers in the 9th minute of play forced S.V.Aartselaar's goalkeeper Fredrik Limpens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.V.Aartselaar's zone, Kurt Jespers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredrik Limpens came out of the goal and Kurt Jespers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christopher Van Meerbeek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Jordi Maenhout made a huge save. If Robrecht De Cerpel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes S.V.Aartselaar got a freekick which was hit by Xander-Paul Wuets. In the 29th minute, Jan-Simon De Koster sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and S.V.Aartselaar's Fredrik Limpens didn't even have to move. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laurenz Coenens was the one to do the kick off. If Lou De Keijsere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. DFC United Colors's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
