Spectators: 7338 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fabrice Meersmans made the kick off which started today's match. Andy De Roest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jannes Pardaens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 minutes into the game, FC Elst's Boudewijn Goddez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jannes Pardaens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jannes Pardaens stood somewhat misplaced when Boudewijn Goddez came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 12 minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Boudewijn Goddez managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Elst's supporters rose to their feet, but Boudewijn Goddez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jannes Pardaens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Boudewijn Goddez in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jannes Pardaens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Andy De Roest got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Boudewijn Goddez got free with Jannes Pardaens in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thomas Reijnders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Goffrey Cesters went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute Boudewijn Goddez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannes Pardaens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannes Pardaens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boudewijn Goddez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes AFC Lonzee's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jacques Skouten who took care of the corner kick. Jacques Skouten made a great header on FC Elst's corner, it was just that AFC Lonzee's Jannes Pardaens managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boudewijn Goddez in the 41st minute of play forced AFC Lonzee's goalkeeper Jannes Pardaens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Boudewijn Goddez sped through AFC Lonzee's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jannes Pardaens. Boudewijn Goddez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jannes Pardaens having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boudewijn Goddez to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boudewijn Goddez in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jannes Pardaens saved AFC Lonzee from getting behind. Jannes Pardaens came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Elst's Boudewijn Goddez. But to his dismay, Boudewijn Goddez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Boudewijn Goddez struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Jannes Pardaens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Elst. The supporters of FC Elst booed when AFC Lonzee was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrice Meersmans didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jannes Pardaens didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when FC Elst's Boudewijn Goddez shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 6-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Jannes Pardaens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornelis Uijtterhoven, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Boudewijn Goddez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jannes Pardaens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy De Roest in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Boudewijn Goddez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 80 minutes of play, FC Elst's Andy De Roest made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jannes Pardaens was left in no man's land by his defense there! Boudewijn Goddez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Jannes Pardaens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boudewijn Goddez in the 85th minute of play forced AFC Lonzee's goalkeeper Jannes Pardaens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boudewijn Goddez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Boudewijn Goddez in the 91st minute of play forced AFC Lonzee's goalkeeper Jannes Pardaens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Elst's Boudewijn Goddez got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 98 minutes into the match, Edward Iven notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of AFC Lonzee's Jannes Pardaens. Jannes Pardaens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Elst had played much better football throughout.
