Arthur Huysmans who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Wim Delen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When SC Venthoek's Tommas Helsen in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 36th minute Matijs Vinck suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 36 minutes, Tommas Helsen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Venthoek and the Azkals CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 37th match minute, SC Venthoek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommas Helsen to maneuver through the defense. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arthur Huysmans made a kick off. In the 51st minute, SC Venthoek's Tommas Helsen ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niels De Wyngaert. Niels De Wyngaert yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Niels De Wyngaert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommas Helsen in the 54th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommas Helsen in the 61st minute of play forced Azkals CF's goalkeeper Niels De Wyngaert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the game, Tuur Goris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Venthoek's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azkals CF the free kick. When Jacobus Struelens fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Venthoek's protests and gave Jacobus Struelens a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute, Azkals CF's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tommas Helsen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tuur Goris managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Venthoek's supporters rose to their feet, but Tuur Goris was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niels De Wyngaert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niels De Wyngaert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommas Helsen in the 80th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Arthur Huysmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azkals CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Huysmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wim Delen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommas Helsen in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Niels De Wyngaert saved Azkals CF from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Venthoek had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
