Jos Van Ghele could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Lars Thielens made a huge save. 27 minutes into the match, FC Eke's goal looked a bit too open when Wes Schols came free, but Lars Thielens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Jurgen Quinet collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Lorenzo De Bruyn's late challenge caught a New York Knicks's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo De Bruyn helped the player get up and apologised. After 86 played minutes FC Eke got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo De Bruyn.
