In the 20thth minute of the game Gery Bautmans who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Eke's Lars Thielens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute Gery Bautmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Thielens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 69th minute, Gery Bautmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, FC Eke's Lars Thielens got control of the ball when Gery Bautmans tried to sneak it across the goal line.
