In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind KAA Kattebeek's goalkeeper Jelle Fondria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stephan Wuets during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of KAA Kattebeek:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Azkals CF:s goal. Isidoor Van Geertruyen placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Jelle Fondria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommi Nagels's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. After 26 minutes of play, Azkals CF's Arthur Huysmans made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jelle Fondria was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommi Nagels in the 35th minute of play forced KAA Kattebeek's goalkeeper Jelle Fondria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niels De Wyngaert stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lenny Niewens's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. If Yelle Bollaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The KAA Kattebeek players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Azkals CF were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arthur Huysmans was the one to do the kick off. Niels De Wyngaert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Waeberghe, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 70th minute Arthur Huysmans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Fondria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niels De Wyngaert took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Niewens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yelle Bollaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Niels De Wyngaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niels De Wyngaert didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yelle Bollaert went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Yelle Bollaert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Niels De Wyngaert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Azkals CF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Tommi Nagels could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Jelle Fondria made a huge save.
