When Gert Vercalsteren fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 67th minute Sebastian Steckens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Thielens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Mattijs Van Beersel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oostakker's supporters rose to their feet, but Mattijs Van Beersel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lars Thielens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Mattijs Van Beersel came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Oostakker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mattijs Van Beersel couldn't finish the play.
