Spectators: 6730 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tommas Helsen made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, KAA Kattebeek's goal looked a bit too open when Tuur Goris came free, but Jelle Fondria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommas Helsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Jelle Fondria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Timothy Waeberghe hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tuur Goris in the 14th minute of play forced KAA Kattebeek's goalkeeper Jelle Fondria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Delen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenny Niewens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KAA Kattebeek's Lenny Niewens got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Tommas Helsen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Venthoek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Wim Delen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lenny Niewens in the 24th minute of play. If Tuur Goris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tommas Helsen in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jelle Fondria prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 35 minutes into the match, SC Venthoek's Tommas Helsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jelle Fondria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. KAA Kattebeek's Stephan Wuets shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 37th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Wim Delen but with some difficulty. Jelle Fondria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tuur Goris in the 39th minute of play. KAA Kattebeek's Jelle Fondria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tuur Goris in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, KAA Kattebeek's goal looked a bit too open when Tommas Helsen came free, but Jelle Fondria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommas Helsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle Fondria having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Lenny Niewens made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tuur Goris got free with Jelle Fondria in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes into the match, KAA Kattebeek's goal looked a bit too open when Tommas Helsen came free, but Jelle Fondria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Tommas Helsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Tommas Helsen recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jelle Fondria. Tommas Helsen showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 73rd minute, Andreas De Geest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommas Helsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, KAA Kattebeek's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tommas Helsen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Andreas De Geest kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After 83 played minutes SC Venthoek got a freekick which was hit by Jacobus Struelens. Yelle Bollaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jelle Fondria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommas Helsen, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jelle Fondria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tommas Helsen's shot from short distance in the 99th minute. SC Venthoek's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
