Ward Snyers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Ward Snyers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronald Labrouche in the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, KAA Grandmenil's goal looked a bit too open when Ronald Labrouche came free, but Ward Snyers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the game, Nils Van Beneden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KAA Grandmenil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malempre the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Malempre's zone, Nils Van Beneden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miguel Wery came out of the goal and Nils Van Beneden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of KAA Grandmenil booed when Malempre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wouter Hunaerts didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 98 minutes, Ronald Labrouche managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malempre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Labrouche was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
