When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wes Schols made a kick off. New York Knicks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oostakker the free kick. Timy Valcke kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Mattijs Van Beersel might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robbin Leenpoels. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Mattijs Van Beersel put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Robbin Leenpoels. Jannes Verhulst's late challenge caught a Oostakker's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jannes Verhulst helped the player get up and apologised. Jannes Verhulst hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Sebastian Steckens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
