Mark Weijgaerts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rudi Herpoel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Stef Van Kamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. rsca anderlecht2009's supporters rose to their feet, but Stef Van Kamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rudi Herpoel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mark Weijgaerts took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudi Herpoel. Rudi Herpoel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 35 minutes into the match, KFC Edegem's goalkeeper Rudi Herpoel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mark Weijgaerts. Andrew Valckx's late challenge caught a rsca anderlecht2009's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andrew Valckx helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to KFC Edegem getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Raf Van Brussel came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wannes Van Der Eyde could save by the left post. The supporters of KFC Edegem booed when rsca anderlecht2009 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waut Van De Wijngaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Wannes Van Der Eyde managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when KFC Edegem's Raf Van Brussel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rudi Herpoel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stef Van Kamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, rsca anderlecht2009's Youri Schooters got a free kick in the 77th minute. Gustave Baumans was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 78th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Herman Hostens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rudi Herpoel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mark Weijgaerts's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. When rsca anderlecht2009's Mark Weijgaerts in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rudi Herpoel came out of the goal and Mark Weijgaerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herman Hostens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wannes Van Der Eyde having to interfere. The KFC Edegem players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented rsca anderlecht2009 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
